Dassault Systèmes continuously upgrade the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform to ensure users have access to the latest updates, new features, and bug fixes across roles and applications, maximizing their productivity. However, on rare occasions, platform updates at the user level have introduced issues, most noticeably impacting SOLIDWORKS Connected. While SOLIDWORKS Desktop + Design users also experience challenges, reports indicate that SOLIDWORKS Connected is most affected.

The reported issues take on several forms, notably:
- Shortly after the MySession app loads, an “Unable to connect to 3DEXPERIENCE” dialog appears, disrupting connectivity.
- In other cases, users encounter a blank white login dialog following MySession’s load, which subsequently displays the “Unable to connect to 3DEXPERIENCE” message if the dialog is minimized, ignored, or closed.
- A similar problem arises with a blank blue login dialog, where the “Unable to connect to 3DEXPERIENCE” dialog appears under the same conditions (minimizing, ignoring, or closing).
If you encounter connectivity issues with SOLIDWORKS Connected following platform updates, it is important to address the problem with the appropriate troubleshooting methods. These methods are designed to help resolve common connectivity disruptions that may arise due to configuration errors or conflicts with security settings. By following the methods outlined below, users can restore access and ensure a smooth connection to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, minimizing any downtime or disruption in functionality.

It’s always better to take precautions than to deal with issues later.
To ensure smooth installations in the future, it is advisable to reboot the system before beginning the installation process. This precaution helps prevent conflicts with processes such as PLMCSA and EDMServerV6, which may have DLLs in use. Additionally, antivirus or antimalware software may scan installation files, potentially causing issues. By restarting the system beforehand, you can minimize the risk of such interruptions and ensure a more efficient and successful installation.
