Add additional firewall port to CST Flexnet License File

Many CST users work in environments with very strict firewall settings. Therefore, when using a License Server, it is necessary to first request for certain ports to be opened.

So, which specific ports should be requested?
We can find the answer in the license file.

However, sometimes one port is not enough to allow the software to be used over strict firewall settings. We can add additional port to DAEMON application. You can add a port from range 27001-27006. Remember to open additional port in firewall as well.

We use port 27001 as example to illustrate the process.

Firstly, open port 27001 in firewall for both inbound rules and outbound rules in server and clinet pc.

Next, add 27001 for DAEMON application in license file.

Then, open the CST License Manager. After stopping the service, select New License File to import the modified file. A message will appear saying “License file replaced successfully.”

After the import is successful, remember to Start Service again. The client can then use the software normally.
