SOLIDCAM Installation Guide

This is a general guide for user to do installation for SolidCAM with below license type:

• Free 30 days trial (First time installation)
• Product key (sent to you at purchase)
• USB Hardware key (Dongle, sent to you at purchase)
• Network license (Connect with Network Server)

Note: if you are using with a dongle, make sure to have this dongle plugged into the USB port when installing SolidCAM.

Log in as the local administrator on the computer. This is to ensure that you have full permissions on the entire machine.

Any Antivirus or Antispyware should be completely disabled.

It is suggested to close all applications during the installation.

SolidCAM Installation Instructions

1. Get ready for the installation file:
   – Insert the SolidCAM Installation CD into the computer CD drive
   – Download the installation file or open with exiting installation file

2. Right click with the installer and select Run as Administrator
   
3. Select “Next” with the Setup dialog box
   
4. Select with “I accept the terms of the license agreement” and click “Next”
   
5. Choose the location to install SolidCAM (default is suggested) and click “Next”
   
6. Select default units and click “Next”
   
7. Select the features you’d like to install (defaults are suggested) and click “Next”
   
8. Select or name a program folder and click “Next”
   
9. Wait until the installation is complete
   
10. Select your SolidCAM license type (trial mode, product key, USB dongle, or network license) and click “Next”
    
11. Click “Finish” after license successfully activated
    
12. Click “Finish” with InstallShield Wizard Complete – installation was successful
